Anne Denaples VMD
Dr. Anne DeNaples was born and raised in Northeast PA. Her love of horses was fostered throughout her childhood as an avid rider. She brought her love of horses and her academic interests together while pursuing her studies.
Dr. DeNaples earned her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. After graduation, she completed a one-year clinical internship at Mid-Atlantic Equine Hospital in Ringos, NJ where she rotated through surgery, internal medicine, and ambulatory departments. She also had the opportunity to work as an associate at North Atlantic Equine, as a thoroughbred racetrack vet. During that period of time, she spent her time working at Monmouth, Belmont, and Aqueduct Racetracks.
In 2012, she opened her own ambulatory practice - a 24/7 emergency care facility that allowed her to fulfill many varied professional interests specializing in sports medicine including lameness evaluation, diagnostic imaging, intra-articular injections, upper airway evaluation, and pre-purchase exams.
When not working, Anne devotes her time to her family, she also enjoys riding her thoroughbred and caring for her dogs, cows, and pigs.
Dr. Emily Bold DVM
Dr. Emily Bold is a long standing member of our Northeastern Pennsylvania Community. Dr. Bold was born and raised in Honesdale, PA on a horse farm where she can remember riding a pony before she can remember walking. Her mother fostered a love for animals and horses far before veterinary medicine became her passion.
During high school, Dr. Bold worked with Dr. Sam Castimore in Sussex, NJ in his mixed animal practice. Sparked with a love to help animals and clients alike Dr. Emily continued her education at Cornell University graduating Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Animal Science and Biology. During her four years of undergrad, she also played Polo for Cornell’s Women’s team and was runner up for the national title her junior and senior years.
Dr. Bold continued her training at Cornell University’s School of Veterinary Medicine where she spent another four years specializing in Equine Medicine. Dr. Bold’s peak interests and continued further areas of study were in Equine Emergency and Critical Care, Dentistry, Reproduction, Neonatal Care, and Lameness Evaluation.
After Cornell, Dr. Bold was selected to further her specialization in Equine studies by attending a year-long rotating internship at the Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in Ringoes, NJ. During that time, she worked with Board Certified Surgeons Dr. Janik Gasiorowski and Dr. Patty Doyle, as well as Board Certified Internal Medicine specialist Rodney Belgrave.
Upon completion of her internship, Dr. Bold returned to North East Pennsylvania to offer quality, compassionate, and innovative care to a budding new clientele in the region. Her special interests include emergency and critical care, field surgery, dentistry, reproduction, neonatology, and lameness of the sport horse. Dr. Bold takes passion in providing the best possible quality care of your equine partners.
Outside of Veterinary Medicine Dr. Bold’s time is spent in a variety of outdoor activities. She plays Polo with the Central New York Polo Club during the spring and summer months, golfs, and enjoys nature in a variety of aspects. Dr. Bold’s number one sidekick, Melvin an 11-year-old jack russel pug mix, can frequently be found helping her on farm calls and keeping her company on long days.
